KNX technology is one of the leading control standards for smart building solutions. Warema, the sun shading expert, offers product solutions tailored to the KNX system and the individual requirements of private homes and commercial buildings. All smart building components developed by Warema can be easily combined with other products, even those from different manufacturers.
Intelligent networking with KNX sun shading actuators
Warema's KNX sun shading actuators can be used to independently control two to eight different sun shading drives. The manual override operation and easy-to-use KNX programming button operated via Bluetooth and smartphone app are innovative and unique – suspended ceilings and double floors pose no problem during commissioning. To ensure optimum energy yield, manual operation can be restricted via automatic inputs.
With Warema's KNX SMI actuators, up to 16 SMI motors can be controlled independently of one another in up to 16 groups. The standard motor interface (SMI) for electric drives has been developed for applications in sun shading systems. This makes control via SMI much more precise than with standard motors. This particularly pays off with slat tracking, which prevents direct sunlight from entering. Another advantage of the KNX SMI actuators is that line routing does not require a great deal of outlay.
Warema KNX room controller
The Warema KNX room controller with integrated room temperature sensor is connected to the bus line and has a weekly timer for programmed times. The KNX control panel can implement up to four scenarios and can also control light and heating at the same time as various sun shading groups. The set temperature values are easy to specify, and the display and operating pages are configured to the customer’s individual requirements. The KNX room controller fits into all standard switch programs and will therefore work for all room concepts.
New KNX flush-mounted actuator
The KNX 1MPF.4 UP flush-mounted actuator, which controls sun shading devices and other power-consuming equipment, can be easily installed in a flush-mounted box – making it ideal for retrofitting and renovation projects. It enables up to two output channels to be controlled and parameterised individually. Four binary inputs are available as actuator or bus push-buttons, for example to connect commercially available (venetian blind) push-buttons.
