One command – or rather one app – to control everything. The flexible homee smart home system combines numerous applications such as light, heating and security in accordance with various wireless standards. Users can easily manage these via voice control, a handheld transmitter or an app. Warema is now expanding its homee modular smart home centre to include an automated sun shading system. The relevant red Warema cube allows the Warema Mobile System (WMS) to be easily integrated so that users can control awnings and roller shutters via homee.
Colourful, yet totally clear and uncluttered: the cubic set-up of the modular homee concept brings order to the smart home world. The white brain cube is the basis, encrypting all data and storing it locally. It can be expanded as required with additional cubes for the Z-Wave, ZigBee and EnOcean wireless standards. The red Warema cube for the wireless system WMS is the latest addition, and can be used to control all intelligent Warema sun shading products. It can be used with features such as slat roofs, external venetian blinds, roller shutters, venetian blinds and awnings with radiant heaters and LED light strips.
Saving individual functions with ease
Various temperature, brightness and movement sensors send readings to the brain cube, which analyses them and sends the corresponding commands to the wireless systems. If, for example, outdoor brightness exceeds a specified limit, the sun shading system will automatically close to prevent the sun from heating up the room. In the evening, the roller shutters can be lowered automatically and the lights switched on when a certain level of darkness is reached to make it look like there’s somebody home. The system can also be controlled manually: in the event of a thunderstorm, users can remotely retract the awnings from their offices by means of a simple app command. These “homeegrams” enable easy programming for automated control.
Various wireless standards, perfectly networked
Different sun shading products can all be operated via the homee app, voice control or the handheld transmitter provided by each integrated manufacturer. The WMS handheld or wall-mounted transmitter, for instance, can also be used to change the colour of the light or to control the temperature of the heating system.
