Warema is a pioneer in the industry with its new Smart Building technologies. The sun shading expert opens up countless new options for operating a shading system with ease and comfort, but also for networking various components with each other and saving energy. Because living and working in smart buildings increases our quality of life, and often performs important functions in daily life. For more safety and comfort.
WMS WebControl pro
The new iOS and Android app facilitates the easy and intuitive control of sun shading and light by PM, tablet or smartphone. Whether from the comfort of your own home, the office or while on holiday, WMS WebControl pro provides direct access to your own smart home from wherever you are. The global data transmission is effected from the Cloud, which is in Marktheidenfeld, Warema's head office. Data security is extremely important to Warema, and therefore guaranteed. Customer requirements were addressed during the development of the app and a modern design created with easy-to-read tiles. The graphic display first shows the current position of the sun shading system, as well as the slat angle for external venetian blinds.
The app's features include a time switch, easy-to-use control modes and an astro function that controls the sun shading system at dusk. Control by language assistant, for example Amazon Echo – "Alexa, lower the blinds" – is also possible. The start screen is easy to personalise to show the user's favourites and, for instance, the current information from the WMS Weather station. The occupants can make individual changes to the settings themselves without the assistance of specialist partners. Thanks to tablet compatibility and thus the option of using landscape display, WMS WebControl is also ideal for wall installation of a screen.
WMS Splitter UP
The flush-mounted WMS Splitter can be used to transfer weather data from a single weather station to several WMS networks. This means this innovation is of benefit in all buildings with several apartments because it lowers costs and provides a harmonious façade. Instead of having a separate weather station for each tenant, the splitters distribute the measured values from a central control unit on the roof to the various networks. Tenants can now control their sun shading system as they wish, based on the weather data. As each apartment is encoded for itself, the users can choose their settings entirely independently of the tenants.
KNX Sun shading actuators for SMI and SMI LoVo
Warema now offers KNX Sun shading actuators that allow up to 16 SMI motors or SMI LoVo motors to be controlled in up to 16 groups, individually and independently of each other. This ensures the highest efficient shading at each window. With this unique market innovation, Warema has progressed significantly in its development of bus systems, and also taken a large step towards the future of Smart Home technology. The new sun shading actuators are available as rail-mounted devices or surface mounted versions. They can be fitted decentrally.
The integrated binary inputs can be used to connect standard sunblind push buttons as well as light or window push buttons. The control options include the user-friendly emergency or manual control using buttons on the actuator as well as the option of control by app. Operation commences by means of an SMI Key ID and automatic motor search and allocation in the app. There is no need to enter the KEY ID manually.
Other major benefits of the new KNX actuators are the minimal effort required for line routing and that the smart SMI motors determine the current position of the sun shading system and its error feedback. This makes control by SMI far more precise than with standard motors, which is of particular benefit with slat tracking and with the cut-off position that prevents direct sunlight from entering a room.
Warema KNX room controller
The new KNX control panel with integrated room temperature sensor is easy to operate by touch display. The Warema KNX room controller is supplied from the bus line, has a week timer for programming set times, can implement up to four scenes, and control light and heating as well as various sun shading groups. The temperature set points are easy to indicate, and the display and operation sides can be configured to suit the customer's preferences. As with a smartphone, users simply swipe to call up the pages. Optically, the room controller scores for its discreet design. As it fits in any standard light switch programme and is used in the same way, it will blend subtly with any room concept.
